Braathe Enterprises music intern Nell Duesler interviews Robert Braathe about his favorite band, Magdalena Bay. Here are the highlights:

Galactic Prism Sounds, also known as GPS, is a Philly-based jazz fusion band that has been carving a unique path in the Philly music scene. After releasing their self-titled album in April 2025, I sat down with Gabe Preston (saxophone and flute), Tony PC (keys), Jack Thomas (drums), Victor Nica (guitar), and Kyle Rowe (bass) to talk about all things GPS, from their writing process and band dynamic to their evolving place in the Philly music scene.

This past June, Zoe Lemon released an EP titled A Coin in the Mouth of a Fish, a deeply personal and introspective record. I sat down with her to discuss everything from spiritual reflections and her recording process in Nashville to her favorite Philly artists and, of course, her Wawa order. 

The Riko and Whaler Collective (RWC), originating in West Chester, PA, debuted their jam band into the Philly house show circuit when two members, Riko and Raven, started their college education at The University of the Arts. The band consists of Riko and Whaler, who share the role of lead singer and guitarist, and their ever-growing “Collective,” which, during this interview, included Tabel, who plays both drums and bass, and Raven, also a drummer.

In the midst of their summer tour across many of the eastern states and into Canada, Attack Dog—consisting of Dylan Michael, Brandon Washburn, Paul Mangan, and John Duesler–got together for a call to discuss everything from how the rock band was created to the Philly-music scene to, most importantly, their Wawa orders.
